Service Description
Built Different Academy is our premier development program for 5th–8th grade athletes who are serious about improving their game and competing at a higher level. Combining the best elements of our former Youth Development Academy and Road to High School Academy, this program provides a complete player development pathway for athletes preparing for middle school, high school, and beyond. Players will develop a strong foundation in ball handling, shooting, footwork, finishing, defense, basketball IQ, and decision-making through structured skill development and game-based training. Sessions are designed to challenge athletes at their current level while teaching them how to apply skills in live situations and competitive environments. At Hugo Elite, we believe development doesn't stop when practice ends. That's why the Built Different Academy serves as the training foundation for our Built Different teams. Athletes who consistently demonstrate commitment, growth, coachability, and performance in training may earn opportunities to represent Built Different in competitive games and tournaments. Team selection is based on development, readiness, and participation within the academy. This is more than a training program—it's a pathway for players who want to improve their skills, build confidence, compete against quality competition, and prepare for the next level. Cancellation Policy
24+ hours’ notice: If your athlete can’t attend, email/text us at least 24 hours before the session: 714.574.9690 or HugoEliteBasketball@gmail.com. No-shows/late cancels: No refunds or credits for no-shows or late cancellations of start time. Rollover credit (limited): With 24+ hours’ notice and a valid reason (sickness, injury, or family emergency), we may issue a rollover credit to the same program within 30 days, subject to availability. How to notify: Include athlete name, session, date/time, and reason. Company cancellations: If we cancel (facility/coach/holiday), you’ll receive a make-up or credit. Notes: Credits aren’t refunds, and they’re non-transferable. ~Media Consent - You grant the Company a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to photograph/film/record the athlete during sessions and to use/publish that media for our website, social channels, and promotional purposes without compensation. You may opt out of future uses by emailing us (we can’t retract materials already published).
